Salaam
Media International (SMI)
was formed in 2007 as a result of our observation of a lack of high quality
Islamic audio-visual media products in Singapore, especially in the English
language.
With
the social challenges that families faced today as our society becomes more
open as a result of affluence and other factors, the task of bringing up a
family that is equipped with the necessary knowledge about Islam has become
increasingly critical.
SMI
believes the time is right for media and technology be used to capture the
attention especially of our technologically savvy children, youths and families
of today. Islam, its beauty and it’s message of peace and submission needs to
be presented in the highest of standards, so that it could be better appreciated
by Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
As
a distributor and reseller of high quality products from 1Islam Productions, One
4 Kids, Darusalam, IIPH, Dakwah Corner Bookstore, Pustaka Imam Syafiee, Darul
Ilmi, Lidwa Pusaka, Radio Hang Production House and many other Publishers and
Production Houses, we share the philosophy that Islam is precious and therefore
deserves only the best.
To our children and youth, who are our most precious
resource, we also hope they will be inspired to know more about Islam through
our fun and visually entertaining Islamic Dvds and Books that will subconsciously
instill in them the following set of values. They are:
